We're excited to announce upcoming significant improvements to the Devo Cloud Collector, including enhanced MSSP domain management and new features for all customers, such as Auto-Removal of paused collectors. These updates, available in our upcoming release on February 5th, improve security, predictability, and usability across both MSSP and standard environments.
Expected Release Date: February 5, 2026
What's New
Smarter Domain Management for MSSPs
We've enhanced how domains are managed in MSSP environments, ensuring that resellers can create namespaces in cloud collectors for domains they have access to through Devo data access rules. This creates a more intuitive and secure experience when managing multiple domains.
Domain Switcher Improvements
Previously, we pre-configured a list of domains requested by our MSSP customers, moving forward the domain switcher will now be enabled for root/admin MSSP domains with appropriate access permissions. This ensures that users only see collector spaces for domains they can properly access and manage, creating a cleaner and more predictable interface.
System Alignment
Cloud Collector namespaces can only be provisioned once they were correctly provisioned on the backend, ensuring better system integrity and preventing potential configuration issues.
Auto-Removal of Paused Collectors
To improve collector management and maintain a cleaner interface, collectors paused for more than 3 months will now be automatically removed. Users can opt out for any collector via a checkbox, which will be included in the same release, if they wish to retain it, ensuring you stay in control of your environment while keeping active collectors easy to manage.
How This Affects You
- If you're an MSSP Provider: You'll now have better control over which domains your resellers can create and manage. The domain switcher will only be enabled for root domains with full access permissions.
- If you're a Reseller: You'll now only be able to create subdomains for domains you have proper access to via Devo data access rules. This prevents confusion where subdomains might be created but not appear in the switcher.
- For All Users: These changes create a more consistent, secure, and predictable domain management experience with fewer edge cases and potential issues.
